B.I.S. Community Clinic continues to take precautionary measures to protect our patients, employees, and community by implementing standardized clinic protocols for any type of infectious illness. The clinic staff has been trained to screen, identify, isolate and treat patients who may have been exposed to COVID-19 based on CDC guidelines. Screening results will then determine the next course of action.


If you are suffering from upper Respiratory symptoms such as:

  • Cough, difficulty breathing

  • Fever

  • Nasal Congestion

  • Have traveled to an area with ongoing spread

  • Been in close contact with a person who has traveled to an area or is known to have COVID-19


Please Stay at Home and Self-Quarantine, please call us at 936.241.3431. We will screen you over the phone and work with local/State/Federal Health Authorities to determine the best course of action. We will be able to use telecommunication means to care for and monitor your situation.


For severe symptoms, call ahead to your local Emergency Room Center prior to arriving or dial 911 if you need emergent care.

COVID-19 symptoms are like many viral upper respiratory illnesses such as the common cold. Symptoms may appear between 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Remember we are still in flu and cold season and our pollen counts are high. COVID-19 is far less common.


What can you do to protect yourself?

Use common everyday precautions such as:


    • Wash with soap and water for 20 seconds or use a 60% alcohol- based hand sanitizer.


    • Throw the tissue away and immediately wash your hands or use hand sanitizer

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

  • Stay at home when you are sick!

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
