Elizabeth Ellis, DNP, RN, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Family Nurse Practitioner
Certified Rural Health Care Professional
Dr. Ellis has resided in Bedias, Texas since 2009. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP), Masters in Nursing and Bachelors in Nursing all at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center-College of Nursing in Memphis. In 1987, Dr. Ellis completed her Bachelors in Administration at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. She is board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with ANCC, and clinically practices in primary care with a focus on wellness and prevention with additional practice specialty in the areas of employee health, occupational health and urgent care. Throughout her career she has practiced in both rural and urban healthcare settings in Family Practice and Internal Medicine. She has served as a leader and national consultant in Advanced Practice Nursing since 2000 with expertise in Nurse Practitioner utilization, management and billing. As a practicing nurse consumer, Dr. Ellis has served on the board of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and has served as a member of the Commissions Executive Board, Board of Commissioners, Report Review Committee and Accreditation Review Committee. She continues to serve as a site visitor for CCNE. Dr. Ellis is published in the areas of Doctor of Nursing Practice education, nurse practitioner utilization and billing. She is an adjunct professor for UTHealth School of Nursing at Houston and recently served on the DNP Advisory Board. Dr. Ellis has taught extensively at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral Levels, and continues to lecture nationally. Dr. Ellis is currently serving on The Texas Association of Rural Health Clinics Board of Directors, and on The National Association of Rural Health Clinics Policy Committee.
Russell Bacak, MD
Dr. Bacak a native of Katy, Texas completed his doctorate in 1997 from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1993 with Bachelors of Science in Biology Summa Cum Laude. In 2000, he completed his residency in Family Practice at McClennan County Family Practice in Waco, Texas where he served as Chief Resident from 1999-2000. Dr. Bacak is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was named Outstanding Graduate in Family Medicine with honors. Upon completing his residency, Rusty and his wife Jennifer, moved to Bryan to make their home where they are raising 5 children. Dr. Bacak currently owns and operates his own faith based Family Practice in College Station. In addition to his practice, Dr. Bacak is very active in the community where he serves as a pastor at Deaf Church and is an avid runner and marathoner.
Rosalin H. Conn RN
Rosalin Conn, RN born and raised in Mount Pleasant Texas where she graduated High School from Chapel Hill, ISD in 2014. In 2015, Rosalin moved to Tyler Texas where she attended Tyler Junior College in pursuit of a degree in Occupational Therapy. She began working for Christus Trinity Mother Frances as a Patient Care Technician and enjoyed the nursing field so much she changed her major to nursing. Mrs. Conn graduated the LVN program at TJC in December 2016. Rosalin then began to work for the Christus Trinity Mother Frances Family Practice Clinic in Whitehouse Texas until January of 2019. In the time working with Family practice she gained valuable skills and assets that molded her into the nurse she is today. In 2019, Rosalin began her classes to transition from a licensed vocational nurse to a Registered nurse with TJC. During this time, she began working pediatric home health to better comply with her hectic school schedule. Rosalin worked with At Home Healthcare full time from January 2019-December 2020. She graduated the RN program in December 2020. In December 2020, Rosalin moved to Bedias Texas to begin her career as an RN and start a family. Rosalin is very eager and enthused to work with the community and help the clinic strive for continued success.
Patient Access Representative
Melinda is a Bedias native, who graduated from Madisonville High School in 2003 and attended Sam Houston State University. She worked home health for Consider the Lilies and at Riverwood Nursing and Rehabilitation as a Certified Nursing Assistant while in college. In 2006 she began working at Madisonville Care Center as Certified Nurse’s Aide. In 2007 she attended Blinn College and achieved her Certification as a Medication Aide. In September 2011, she joined the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher and jailer. In December 2016, she graduated Lonestar Law Enforcement Academy and returned to Grimes County Sheriff’s Office as a Sheriff’s Deputy. In 2018 she returned home to raise her young children. Melinda joined BIS Community Clinic in November of 2020 as the Patients Access Representative and has since achieved her certificate as a Rural Health Clinic Professional with The National Association of Rural Health Clinics. Her diverse work history gives Melinda a unique insight into working and serving a rural community. Melinda is excited to utilize her skills in Rural Health and to better serve her hometown.
