As a Community, we are all concerned about COVID-19. BIS Community Clinic would like to assure that we are here for you! Anyone new or established may call the Clinic (936.241.3431) in advance of coming in person if you are experiencing the following:

  • Cough, fever, congestion, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath

  • Have been exposed to the Flu or COVID-19

  • Have traveled to an endemic region

  • Have been in contact with anyone you know has traveled outside of the United States recently

  • If you are unsure if your symptoms are consistent with COVID-19 or of exposure


By calling the Clinic, we will set up a phone call or Virtual Meeting (Skype/Face time) with our Provider Elizabeth Ellis, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, CRHCP.


We will contact the appropriate health authority on your behalf and advise you as to the course of action.


NOTICE: We ask that only the patient and Parent/Guardian come into the clinic. We will not allow any visitors in the clinic at this time! Family and Friends who may be driving you need to stay outside please until further notice.


Remember the best way to protect yourself and others is to do the following:

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds

  2. Do not touch your face

  3. Keep 3ft of distance from those who may be coughing/sneezing (upper respiratory symptoms)

  4. Avoid areas with crowds

  5. Stay Calm


These efforts are being put in place to further reduce community and health-worker exposure to the virus. The health of our patients and community is of utmost concern to us, and we are here to assist you.  We appreciate your cooperation during this difficult time!
